MICSUN is our final conference of the year, one which we have attended for the past three years. In Miami, we engage in activities such as visiting Shake Shack and their ping pong table, exploring Miami Beach, and swinging on the boat chairs.

Registration is open to all members; however, we are capping our delegation size and will create a waiting list for those who do not meet the cutoff. MICSUN is a competitive conference and we heavily take that into account when determining who will be a part of our delegation. Prior to registering, please take note of the refund policy and the packing list in order to garner a sense of what our conference drop/refund policies are, and what you need to do to be prepared for this conference.

It is imperative that members attending MICSUN attend MUN meetings on a weekly basis, particularly when they pertain to the conference. Those meetings are:

  • April 4th

  • April 11th (mandatory)

Refund Policy

All payments received on time may be fully or partially refunded with at least an 8 day notice. Failure to notify the Conference Coordinator before the 8 day period in advance of a conference may result in the inability to refund, as hotel rooms and rental car payments will have already been paid based off of your prior commitment. Cancellations with less than 8 days to the conference date will not receive refunds. Please plan accordingly and submit payments only if you are committed to going and acknowledge the refund policy.

Financial Aid

It is our goal that all delegates are able to afford conferences. Conference costs may be partially or fully subsidized. Students must fill out this form and submit it by March 21st.

Committee Requests

ALL members must request a dual delegation, regardless of experience level. Novice members who wish to request crisis must include at least one assembly committee in their request, as we have very limited crisis spots available. The dual delegation committees are the Committee on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Talk with your potential dual partner prior to requesting so you are both on the same page regarding which committee you wish to be in. If you are requesting a dual delegation, please write it out as Committee Acronym/Region w/ Name. While we try to meet all requests, at this conference in particular we are less able to due to a small number of committees available and large numbers of Pine View students in each committee.
